What’s that flashy blue light thing…

31 03 2008

We’ve all seen them. Along comes an ambulance answering an emergency call and on occasion they come up behind some dork who obviously thinks that the mirrors attached to their car is to show them where they’ve been and under no circumstances should they be used to spot a sirens blaring, lights blazing emergency vehicle coming up behind them.

I love they way that “Ambulance” is written in reverse across the bonnet of the vehicle, I often think that it is written in the hope that the failure said dork to comprehend the lights/sirens combo, may possibly be able to read…

Cameron backs ‘brilliant’ Johnson.

31 03 2008

Well the title of this entry says it all. Tory party leader David Cameron (you know the Eton educated fellow who’s trying to identify with us plebs) backs Johnson, who I can best describe as an idiot. Cameron is a weak ineffectual leader who has now shown that his decision making really is shit, by backing Boris. Honestly, would you allow him to run London?

I mean it would be as dumb as the American voters voting in George W. Bush not once but twice. I mean who would do something as ridiculous as that? No, wait…

Election day.

28 03 2008

Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe has warned his opponents not to protest if they do not win elections on Saturday. “Just dare try it,” said Mr Mugabe at one of his final campaign rallies. “We don’t play around while you try to please your British allies.”

What I should say here is that this man will only be forced from power once the people of Zimbabwe rise up against him and his cronies. There could be violence after the result is announced(I somehow suspect that Magabe will retain his position, call me an old cynic) similar to what happened in Kenya last year.

But what I want to say is…When is somebody going to shoot the bastard?

NUT by name…

26 03 2008

Paul McGarr, a teacher from east London, said only when Army recruiting materials gave a true picture of war would he welcome them into his school.  “Join the Army and we will send you to carry out the imperialist occupation of other people’s countries,” Mr McGarr said.

So an unbiased, balanced view from Mr McGarr there, the very thing they want the Army to do. As soon as he said it and along with all the other rubbish that was being spouted at the national union of teachers conference, I thought I was living in the 1970’s once again. But what did I expect from a lefty Pacifist teaching union?

This brings me onto my next point. Unions. I like unions. There should be more of them. Unfortunately, the 1970’s balls ‘ed that up. And do you know who it was down to? Lunatic left wingers, who still exist today in the likes of the NUT, RMT etc. Who knows what the political landscape would have been if the unions were reasonable and had a balanced approach in the 70’s, we may have still had a manufacturing industry for instance, Thatcher may not have got into power.

But even loony lefties have a thirst for power. They brought the country to its knees, but in the end they cut their own throats. But are they to blame? I say no they are not.

We are.

We let them get control.

Attack of Conscience.

23 03 2008

It seems this whole nonsense regarding the “embryo” bill is continuing to rumble on. A number of cabinet ministers who are catholic (we haven’t heard any other objections from anyone else yet, religious or otherwise) are facing a “moral dilemma” because they’re conscience cannot come to terms with some of the content of the bill. The calls for a free vote grow louder.

The possibility that this research into human-animal embryos could result in ridding ourselves of diseases such as Parkinsons, a disease that brings huge suffering. So tell me where is the morality in denying this kind of research?

So where do these mp’s and ministers conscience lie? Can they live with the possibility of denying so many people the right to live free from disease? Surely it is the Church’s duty to overcome suffering where ever possible. I wonder if any of these Conscientious politicians may be labouring under the impression of a veiled threat of ex-communication from their church.

Anyway, enough of the questions, this is what I would do if I was Prime Minister of the UK and had a number of cabinet ministers threatening to resign or vote against you over this bill.

I would sack them immediately.
